The Head of the Special Investigation Service, Koka Katsitadze, together with his deputy, Natia Songhulashvili, met with the Head of the Women's Rights Organization "Sapari" Baia Pataraia

At the introductory meeting, the parties discussed issues of mutual cooperation.

The meeting focused on the main principles of the Service's activities, future plans, existing challenges and the vision of the Service's development.

Koka Katsitadze highlighted the importance of the prevention and effective investigation of the violence against women and domestic violence; challenges in investigating any violation of the privacy and personal communication, the cybercrimes inter alia; the importance of involvement, sharing the opinions and visions of the human rights protection organizations, for the harmonization of the investigative policy with the international standards of human rights protection.

The parties expressed their readiness to cooperate in fighting against sexual cyber-violence and strengthen the service in the analysis and prevention of such threats. In addition, they discussed the possibility of developing modules and delivering trainings jointly to ensure the quality of the investigation of the above-mentioned crimes, and conducting a targeted public awareness raising campaign.

The Head of the Administration, Sopho Chareli and the Head of the International Relations and Strategic Development DepartmentNatia Pirashvili and lawyer of the Women's Rights Organization "Sapari", Tamar Lukava attended the meeting.
