The employees of the Special Investigation Service trained on the "Peculiarities of interviewing child victims/witnesses and minors in conflict with the law" with the support of the Council of Europe

 

The Special Investigation Service with the support of partner organizations actively continues training to raise the qualifications of its employees.

 

On December 6-11, five-day training on "Peculiarities of interviewing child victims/witnesses and minors in conflict with the law" was delivered to the employees of the Special Investigation Service with the support of the Council of Europe.

 

The event took place in Kakheti in two stages within the framework of the CoE project "Implementation of policing measures for the protection of human rights in Georgia", led by invited experts from the Council of Europe.

 

The purpose of the mentioned training was to study modern approaches and standards and the features of the interviewing process. The training course will assist employees to protect the rights and interests of juveniles in conflict with the law and improve the quality of the investigation.

 

38 employees of the Special Investigation Service were trained, including the Head of the Investigation Department, investigators, operational workers and employees of the General Inspection.

 

The training was opened by the senior officer of the Council of Europe project, Eter Kamarauli, who emphasized the significance of the mentioned issue and spoke about the importance of cooperation for the improvement of the quality of investigation and protection of juvenile rights.
