Koka Katsitadze presented the Annual Activities Report 2022 at the session of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia
Koka Katsitadze, the head of the Special Investigation Service, presented the Annual Activities Report 2022 at the session of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia.
According to the head of the Special Investigation Service:
The 3 main priorities of the Special Investigation Service are high quality, transparent investigation and care for Human Rights;
The investigation service was completely focused on protecting citizen rights and adjusted to the transparent investigation standards;
The functional independence of the service was strengthened through tight cooperation with the Parliament of Georgia.
Since its establishment, 153 persons have been exposed to the crime.
For effective investigation and institutional strengthening of the Service, Regional Offices were added and the processof the Head Office construction was launched.
The report also discusses specific trends in law enforcement activities and recommendations for shortcomings identified by the investigation.
