The Special Investigation Service submitted the Annual Report 2022 to the Parliament of Georgia

 

The head of the Special Investigation Service, Koka Katsitadze, submitted the Annual Report 2022 of the Special Investigation Service to the Parliament of Georgia.

 

The report presents all the projects and reforms implemented by the Service in 2022 in detail, which significantly contributed to the institutional and organizational development of the Service, ensuring the quality of investigations, improving the legal status of victims, accountability to the public, transparency, development of approaches based on cooperation, fulfillment of recommendations outlined in the 12-point plan of the European Commission as well as domestic or international obligations.

 

In accordance with the requirements defined by the law, the report does not contain information about issues related to the investigation and/or specific circumstances of criminal cases.

 

The report presents statistical information related to different kinds of crimes under the mandate of the Service. The report also emphasizes some trends and recommendations on the shortcomings established by the investigation in law enforcement activities.
