The Special Investigation Service exposed 4 law enforcement officers in Violent Crimes
As a result of investigative actions conducted in Tbilisi in June-July of this year, the Special Investigation Service exposed 4 law enforcement officers in violent crimes.
The employee of the Land Border Police Department of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, R.D. was exposed for the crime with the motive of revenge, who physically assaulted the injured citizen on May 11, 2023, in Tbilisi. In particular, he hit the victim in the head with a gun that was lying on the ground, threatened to kill, and continued to assault him physically, as a result, the victim suffered minor body injuries in the head.
The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia charged the mentioned person for intentionally causing less health injury and threatening.
The employee of the Security Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, G.S. was exposed and arrested for a gender crime. In 2017-2023 he systematically insulted and humiliated his ex-wife on the grounds of intolerance. Also, in May 2023, he threatened to take his life.
The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia charged the law enforcement officer with domestic violence and threats.
The employee of the Security Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, G.K. was exposed for the crime based on a verbal dispute, physically assaulted a citizen, who was hit in the forehead with a firearm, as a result, the victim received various injuries on April 4, 2023, in Tbilisi.
The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia charged the mentioned person with intentionally causing minor health injury.
The employee of the Security Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia V.G. was exposed to the crime of beating a victim during a mutual dispute who suffered minor body injuries on March 16, 2023, in Tbilisi. In the aforementioned, V. G. threatened to kill his acquaintance woman with a firearm and damaged the victim's car on May 17, 2023, in Tbilisi.
The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia charged the law enforcement officer with intentionally less health injury, threats, and property damage.
The Special Investigation Service intensively continues the investigation of ill-treatment and other violent crimes committed by law enforcement officers. The results and progress of the investigation will be periodically provided to the public.
As a result, 40 law enforcement officers were exposed to violent crime and ill-treatment by the Special Investigation Service.
