The Special Investigation Service arrested two persons for dissemination of secrets of personal life, sexual coercion and extortion

 

On November 24, 2022, the Adjara Autonomous Republic Division of the Investigation Department of the Special Investigation Service launched an investigation into the fact of unlawful obtaining, storage and use of the personal life of M.S.

 

According to the investigation conducted by the Special Investigation Service, it was determined that the defendants B.G born in 2000 and A.Kh born in 1997, both in telephone communication and in a personal meeting, threatened the victim that if she did not have sexual relations with them, they would reveal the secret of her private life through short correspondence texts and photos of intimate content.

 

Also, the defendant A.K. forced sexual intercourse with the victim, which he secretly filmed with his own mobile phone, then made so-called "screens" (photos) of the video and sent them to other people through "Facebook" application "Messenger", and defendant B.G. extorted money from the victim by threatening to make public the information that may damage her reputation.

 

On November 29, 2022, as a result of investigative and procedural actions carried out by the Special Investigation Service, two persons were arrested as defendants.

 

On November 30, the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia charged detained persons under Article 157¹, paragraph 1 (Disclosure of secrets of personal life), Article 139, paragraph 1 (Coercion into the penetration of sexual nature into the body of a person), and Article 181, paragraph 1 (Extortion by threatening to make public the information that may damage the reputation) of the Criminal Code of Georgia and was sentenced to imprisonment by the court.

 

The offense shall be punished by imprisonment for a term of four to seven years.
