During the meeting, the police representatives introduced the attendees to the specific activities of their police units, discussed their tactics for managing demonstrations, and cases of excessive force by law enforcement officers, and shared their experiences on the reports forwarding system with oversight bodies. The representatives of the SIS expressed their gratitude to Belgian counterparts for sharing international best practices and conveyed their readiness for future cooperation.

The official visit of the SIS representatives to the Kingdom of Belgium was supported by the Council of Europe (CoE) project “Human Rights Compliant Policing in Georgia (HRCPG)”.
