 Koka Katsitadze hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Georgia H.E. Petr Mikyska to the Special Investigation Service

 

The Head of the Special Investigation Service, Koka Katsitadze together with his deputies - Giorgi Kvaratskhelia and Natia Songhulashvili, held the meeting with H.E. Petr Mikyska, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Georgia.

 

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the aspects of future bilateral cooperation.

 

The Head of the Special Investigation Service introduced the mandate and main directions of the Service to the diplomat.

 

Koka Katsitadze emphasized the importance of implementing the best international practices for the institutional development of the Service. He expressed his readiness to establish cooperation with the counterpart institution - the General Inspectorate of Security Forces (GIBS) of the Czech Republic that will contribute to the further strengthening of the independent investigative mechanism and fulfillment of international obligations undertaken by Georgia.

 

During the introductory meeting, the parties discussed the Special Investigation Service's involvement in the relevant future projects of the Czech Transition Promotion Program in the law enforcement areas.

 

Koka Katsitadze thanked the Ambassador for the fruitful discussion and readiness for future cooperation along with the best wishes in his honorable mission.

 

Natia Pirashvili, the Head of the International Relations Department, attended the meeting.
