Head of the Special Investigation Service, Koka Katsitadze presented the first quarterly report to the representatives of the Public Defender's Office
The report includes the main statistical data showing the activities since the creation of the service - from March 1 up to May, 2022.
Koka Katsitadze introduced the participants of the meeting with the implemented projects, the existing challenges and the nearest planned activities.
The main emphasis of the quarterly report is the institutional and organizational development process of the Special Investigation Service since its creation.
In accordance with the report, in response to the challenges with a view to strengthening and developing the service according to international standards, the new organizational structure of the service was established.
The head of the Special Investigation Service shared the detailed statistics of the subordinate crimes with the indicators of the initiation of criminal prosecution, the use of preventive measures and the indicators of termination of the investigation for the reporting period of March-May,2022.
Koka Katsitadze provided detailed information on the steps taken to improve the legal status of the affected citizens and the main aspects of the development of the Service.
At the meeting, the Head of the Special Investigation Service underlined the importance of close cooperation with the Office of the Public Defender, international and non-governmental organizations.
The Special Investigation Service will publish the quarterly reports every three months.
The event was attended by the first deputy of the special investigation service, Giorgi Kvaratskhelia, the deputy public defender, Giorgi Burjanadze and representatives of the public defender's office - Gvantsa Chkhaidze and Saba Brachuli.
