Koka Katsitadze, the Head of the Special Investigation Service met with Vakhtang Gomelauri, The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia
During the meeting, the current activities, visons for future development and the main challenges of the Special Investigation Service was discussed.
The Head of the Special Investigation Service revealed initiative and presented the idea of creating The State Official Crime Prevention Council.
The purpose of the Council will be to ensure a prompt response in the field of official crime, as well as to identify existing gaps and challenges and to facilitate joint and coordinated work of law enforcement agencies to eliminate and prevent them.
The importance of the close cooperation and coordination was emphasized.
The deputies of the Special Investigation Service – Giorgi Kvaratskhelia and Natia Songhulashvili, and the deputy ministries of Internal affairs of Georgia – Shalva Bedoidze, Alexsander Darakvelidze, Giorgi Butkhuzi and Ioseb Chelidze, also attended the meeting.
