Koka Katsitadze, Head of the Special Investigation Service, met with Nino Lomjaria, Public Defender of Georgia

Koka Katsitadze introduced the current activities, development, and challenges of the Special Investigation Service.

During the introductory meeting institutional and functional independence of the investigative body was highlighted. Also, the improvement of legal status of affected citizens and crime prevention issues were discussed.

Koka Katsitadzealso informed the Public Defender and his deputies about the initiative to establish a Council for the Prevention of Official Crimes.

At the meeting,  the Special Investigation Serviceexpressedits readiness and willingness to work closely with the Public Defender's Office.

Deputy Public Defenders, Tamar Gvaramadze and Giorgi Burjanadze also attended the meeting.
